Singaporean?

Question: Do you think a person will take the trouble to walk all the way to the end of a crowded MRT just to report the person eating a curry puff beside him?

Would you?
Probably not (... I hope).

Well, somebody did just that when Miss Juneberry was on the MRT a few days ago. Nope, yours truly wasn't the person being baoto-ed upon but an unsuspecting guy sitting a few seats away from her.

You know, when the baoto-ing person (hereinafter refered to as the baoto-er) brought along an MRT officer and pointed to the hapless guy (hereinafter refered to as the baoto-ee), Miss Juneberry actually thought the baoto-er discovered the baoto-ee hiding some self-made bomb in his bag. YES, yours truly is not kidding you, she actually thought some JI terrorist was sitting a few seats down the row.

The reason is simple. Who in his right mind would take all that trouble if there is no real good reason for doing so? (i.e some big stuff that affects many people)

Why would a person want to cause another to lose $500 for eating a $0.50 curry puff? especially when the person and you wu2 yuan4 wu2 chou2...

Is it THAT big a deal to eat curry puffs (or any other small tit-bits for that matter) on the MRT if the "eater" does not dirty the train in any way? What if he has gastric problems or is anorexic and can't go hungry for long?

Okay.. so Miss Juneberry is more of a Golden Rule (or is that Mischief rule?.. sorry.. am always confused between these two rules) person rather than a Literal Rule person... that is unless the person takes a bite and spits the bits he doesn't like onto the floor.. or "has holes in his mouth" and drops a lot of crumbs, there is no good reason to report him.

In the baoto-er's defence, perhaps he wanted to sha1 yi1 jing3 bai3 (literal translation: kill one warn a hundred)?... but Miss Juneberry still feels that he is too mei2 ren2 qing2 wei4... and thus hopes that he is not a Singaporean.

To answer your first qns, I will not report him, even if he's having a hamburger and drink exactly like the one shown in the sign. hah hah.

although this baoto-er's actions were abit harsh, i'm glad such person is aroundd.

I hope he'll extend his "initiative" to counter other real inconsiderate acts on public transport. Especially to those who refuse to move to the back of the bus, and those eager commuters waiting on the platform. The other day I saw an uncle tripped as he was rushing in before others can alight.
