oil painting looks very different with the different size of the canvas and picture
canvas can be bigger
but ur brush will always the those few sizes
big canvas means u can have finer details when seen from afar, so the picture will look like ur photo
but oil paint, is damn hard to mix
that's why the colours are often very vivid and primary
not quite like a real photo
and perhaps more paradisic in nature

I'm not an art student
and certainly dun go to art exhibitions
but I do photo editings haha
oil painting edit looks nice on small pictures only
big pictures end up with fuzzy outlines and nothing much else

I seemed to have said a lot of nothing...
let me take a step back
simply put
oil painting won't look as nice as this
oil painting will look nice in its own way
but the effect will be different
if oil painting were trying to present this image
it would fail

I got oil paintings on my kitchen walls haha

i agree with Juneberry, I think it does look like an oil painting... i have 2 oil paintings at home! Oil paintings can look as real as a photo... depending on the kind of brush strokes used... of course we don't expect Van Gogh's painting to look like a photo since his strokes are usually bold and daring, but there are artists who use detailed and precise strokes... i've seen such paintings in the art gallery.

I've always felt the colours of oil paintings look surreal
well nvm
I yield
my only paintings are sort of on the kitchen walls anyway :P

i think those with bold colourful and small strokes are from the "impressionistic" era

oil paintings from different periods look different
