A Morsel of Mandarin Orange

Miss Juneberry shall present a more serious mien today...

On the first day of CNY, the extended family and Miss Juneberry went to grand uncle's place to bai4 nian2. His smallest berry just got married towards the end of 2004.

While poring over the ROM photos with sis, Sis shared this tidbit:

"At my girl friend's ROM, I saw the groom dab his eyes the moment my friend put her signature on the marriage cert."

Awww, ain't that sweet??

The groom must love his bride so much that he burst into tears of relief (alright alright.. Miss Juneberry exaggerated.. BUT while he did not "burst" into tears.. it remains that he did shed tears of happiness/relief) when they finally become man and wife.

To some, marriage cert is just a by-product of the superficial society, just a piece of paper and a needless formality which they find a hassle, a waste of time, money and effort.

Well, Miss Juneberry personally feels that while a marriage cert may not guarantee that promises will not morph into the butterflies that so linger beautifully, yet always dancing just out of reach, it does hand both parties a net which enables them to more easily catch those lovely butterflies together, doesn't it?

If ever one day Miss Juneberry gets to attend her girl friend's ROM (the occurrence of which is more likely to be sooner rather than later) , she is certain the groom won't be the only one to dab his eyes.
